Synopsis

To commemorate FITC Tokyo, we developed a title sequence to contrast the quiet harmonies of traditional Japanese culture against the backdrop and sensory overload of present day Tokyo.

Film Frames
We meticulously crafted elegant typographic forms to collide with abrasive, overstimulating glitches. This concept provided a visual progressive sequence where moments of extreme chaos fold into temporary tranquility.

Design Frames
The images below were generated to explore and navigate the creative direction for the team. My goal with these frames was to find the project's creative voice and use it as an exploration in design. For me, this stage of the process is one of my favorites, because the content finally begins to reveal itself and take on a life of its own.
